When Orpheus comes to find Eurydice in the Underworld, he knocks the door with his music and comes through strings. According to the Eastern Legend, there is an invisible red string tied between two people that indicates they are meant to be together. The strings represent water, memory, love, relationship, connection, tension and rhythm throughout the play and they also connect two worlds vertically. I came up with the red string between lovers designated to each other and I thought the string would be used as a good metaphor to visualize abstract concepts such as memory, love, destiny, relationship, connection, tension and rhythm.
