MULTIPLE PERSONALITY was directed by Sebastian Lambertz for Johanneskirche Dusseldorf, in October 2016.

The project was established as a new model for an ensemble to incorporate sound, technology, and design. The purpose was to present classical music in a new and engaging ways of staging. My team and I discussed about how to portray classical music and give better communication of how these music pieces were composed with underlying contexts and distinctive reasons. We decided to transform this conservatory performance of classical music into a theatrical performance using media design and sound technology. The idea behind our “Multiple Personality” project is to show the phenomenon of multiple aspects of three different composers with different perspectives and contexts in their music. We picked three music pieces that engaged with the theme that daily impacts our society: Carl Nielsen’s Clarinet Concerto focuses on mental health, Steve Reich presents emerging technology, and Scaramouche presents variety of professions that we carry in our lives. h
